When my grandfather passed away in April of 2003 at the age of 90 years old, I knew the world had lost a one-of a kind personality who came from a generation of immigrants that knew hardship, but embraced life with unequaled strength. I kept wishing that I could preserve his wisdom, advice, and experience in a jar. Then whenever I needed his perspective on life, I could simply open up the jar and get the answer. Well… Grandad’s Gravy® is our attempt to capture and preserve his love for life, his humor, and the wisdom he obtained through 90 years of life experience.

Grandad began teaching me to make his “gravy” (what Italians call red sauce) among other favorites when I was eight years old. I stood on a chair, peering into the pot, watching his every move. After perfecting and serving his recipes for over twenty-five years, I now bring our family tradition to you.

Grandad’s love of food was strong, but not nearly as strong as his love for what his food brought together… family and friends. We hope you enjoy our products with the family and friends that you cherish most. So, as Grandad would always say… “Enough already, just eat!”
